Effective July 1, 2025, Kansas state will establish new special districts for the purpose of sales tax in the areas of Garden City, Mission, Overland Park, Roeland Park, and Topeka. In the city of Abilene, there will be increases in sales tax, while in the city of Lyndon the combined state and local sales and use tax rates will decrease.
